Currently, most international advanced banks use Flow Banks Model to operate and manage banking business process. This model has been discussed in theory for more than three years in China. It is significant for China's commercial banks to be able to comply with the bank industry international standards in the future. Although the concepts of flow banks are relative clear theoretically, the practices in building real flow banks are totally different. This paper gives a theory based on information technology to implement banking business process reengineering particlly by following the key path of building flow banks. And a practical case for a bank is given.This paper is divided into six chapters. The background, researching method and other relevant topics of this paper are introduced in introduction part. In chapter I, emergence of BPR and proposition of the China's flow banks and the status of implementation are analysesed. In chapter II, the value that BPR can bring to the bank is discussed. Chapter III,main idea, China's commercial banks BPR methods of particle-type model and the core concept of BPR,is given. Key of BPR is analysed and it proposed the organization Reconstruction and the establishment of Operations Center.In Chapter IV, solutions of BPR for commercial banks is given. In Chapter V, the effectiveness of BPR is analysed based on a commercial bank's case.
