Research On Whole Process Cost Management Of Engineering Project

Due to the characteristics of a project's investment,the cost management of a construction project must include a management system of the whole process and of all the different aspects which causes all the different stages to be influenced,constrained and interacted one with another.In this paper,based on the views of various theories about the current status and the usages of project cost management in China and abroad,we confirm the necessity of whole process management.While aiming at the main existing problems which exist at present during the different stages,and ranging widely from the investment decision-making phase,the design phase,the bidding phase,the project implementation stage,the influencing factors at the different stages are analyzed.The controlling measurements for the cost management during the different stages are also put forward.At the same time,the main problems existing on the different stages were also analyzed with the help of some cases.The measurements to solve such problems were proposed which make the whole process of cost management a must.
