With the level of ageing continuing to increase, the number of old people become large, the endowment insurance becomes more and more prominent,and gradually become the focus of China. The rural residents is particular influenced by ageing. According to the Fifth National Population Census data of 2000. the elderly population in rural China has 85.57 million, accounting for 65.82 percent of the total Chinese elderly population, and the ageing level in rural area was 1.24 percentage points higher than the towns. The existent conditions of family support has changed due to the ageing, the social security system for the aged isn't perfect, the income of rural residents is low, and large amount of labor force were outflow, all of above situations made the rural supporting for old-aged become severe. Therefore, this paper takes the rural residents'choice of old-aged support as the research contents. Perfectly solve the rural supporting problem is not only benefit to resolve the adverse effect, but also the harmony of China's social and sustainable development of economics.The research shows that, the rural residents of Fujian Province is also look forward to depend on children, but the number of choosing self supporting and social endowment insurance has some increase. The multinomial logistic model analysis shows that, residents'desire for old-aged support is remarkably effected by some characteristics, such as gender, profession, monthly income, whether lived with children. And according to analysis of the desired living arrangements , the family endowment is the first choice for rural residents. The result shows that, age, residents'choice of living pattern is remarkably effected by some factors, such as education year, marital status, number of children, number of boys and whether lived with children .The paper divides into seven chapters. The first chapter is preface which the main topic is about research's background, research's methods, research's significance and so on. The second chapter extensively collects and analyzes in-depth the present study situation at home and abroad. In the third chapter, on the basis of the review in the second chapter, proposes the classification of old-aged support and the influencing factors of choice for old-aged support. In the fourth chapter, constructs the model of the influencing factors. In the fifth chapter, on the basis of the questionnaire survey , analyzes the desire for old-aged support and choice of living pattern by using the positive analysis method. The sixth chapter proposes the countermeasures to achieve a greater willingness for old-age support. The seventh summarizes the conclusions of the research, and compares with the previous studies, the last proposes some shortage of the research.
