Research on the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance has been a hotspot and a difficult point in the field of human resource management. Compared with the 30-year research history in western countries, domestic scholars began to explore the field in recent years with relatively small number and inconsistent conclusions. Research on the relationship between manufacturing enterprises' human resource management practices and organizational performance will enrich empirical research results of strategic human resource management and do help to correct the understanding of the role and position of human resource management. Thus, it will improve their human resource management.Based on the literature review and questionnaire investigation, this research analyzes the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance in the manufacturing. In addition, this paper explores the differences between human resource management practices. The contribution of this study is mainly reflected in two aspects:Firstly, the study explores the empirical research scale of "the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance in manufacturing". The formation of scale follows the four steps of literature review, expert advice, pre-tested, analysis of the questionnaire's reliability and validity.Secondly, the paper carries on the empirical research on the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance from the perspective of a specific industry and enterprises with distinguished characteristics, which is different from other domestic researches. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.The relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance was remarkable, which verifies the universal applicability of strategic human resource management.2.Empirical investigation finds that the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance is different among the manufacturing enterprises with different organizational characteristics. Thus, the paper puts forward different human resource management focuses for different types of enterprises.
