In the knowledge economy ages, with the rapid development of science and technology, international competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Innovation has become the key element which decides enterprises’ competitive edge and organizational survival. However, when enterprises are creating new products and services to meet the needs of the development, they should also increase their operational efficiency to fit the current competitive environment. Enterprises with ambidexterity can effectively balance the management paradox. Only by improving the ambidexterity constantly, building core competence, enterprises can achieve a long-term performance and sustainable development under the dynamic environment. Therefore, how to promote ambidexterity has become a hot topic in recent year’s enterprise management research. Thus, in order to provide theoretical basis and practical references for enterprises to implement effective human resource management and promote organizational performance, this study will explore what role the ambidexterity will play in the influence of human resource management practices on organizational performance through the empirical analysis based on the perspective of ambidexterity.Firstly, this paper summarizes the theories and literatures about human resource management, ambidexterity and organizational performance, and establishes a new study model after analyzing their deficiencies and the trend of the future. Secondly, the questionnaire will be designed based on the study model mentioned above, and after the analysis of the questionnaire data, the hypotheses are verified by using the hierarchical regression. Thirdly, based on the analysis of theory and empiricism, this paper analyzes the typical case of Lenovo by using three-step coding method of grounded theory, and the analysis also provides a reference for the growth of enterprises. Finally, this paper gives corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for the human resource management practices of enterprises based on the conclusion of empirical and case analysis, and it puts forward the shortcomings of this study and the future research direction. This study shows that the ambidexterity plays an intermediary role between human resource management practices and organizational performance. That is to say, on the one hand, human resource management practices can directly affect the organizational performance; on the other hand, it will enhance organizational performance through ambidexterity.
