Recent years, auto consumption increases greatly with the rapid and continuous growth of China's economy, which also results in the development of auto logistics. Auto logistics is recognized as the most complicated and specialized field in international logistics industry. Although gap exists between domestic automobile enterprises and international ones on overall development level, domestic enterprises have learned advanced theories from abroad during the cooperating with excellent foreign enterprises and introducing advanced technologies and equipments. TPS is the most famous theory, which has been learned and employed in auto logistics. Many domestic enterprises and logistics companies have accumulated much experience in learning TPS.Auto supply logistics provides service directly to auto assembly line. It contains complicated logistics operations, such as: goods receiving, parts repacking, line-side feeding, etc. It counts much to the running of assembly line and plays an important role in auto logistics field.By taking BEIJING BENZ-DAIMLERCHRYSLER AUTOMOTIVE Co., Ltd as an example, this paper probes into the practice and application of Lean Production in auto supply field from the perspective of 3PL. Thoughts should be changed firstly in the process of applying Lean Production, where traditional push production is transformed to pull production. Secondly, waste and weakness of traditional process were found after process decomposing, measurement and analyzing. Then, organization structure was adjusted after the analysis. Finally, process reengineering was carried out and stepped up to Lean Production.
