The market competition of China's ready-mixed concrete industry has shown a tendency to become more and more keen, in pace with more and more enterprises and large funds go into it, and the market competitive law of survival of the fittest has gradually appeared.At first, this paper explained the development of ready-mixed concrete industry in our nation, and expounded the existing main problems confronted by the ready-mixed concrete company. The author holds that, at present and in future, the biggest problem confronted by ready-mixed concrete companies in our main cities is the market competition. It is a task of top priority to promote the market competitiveness of ready-mixed concrete companies effectively, and it is also a difficult problem of the first importance, which should be solved urgently by every ready-mixed concrete company.Through the description of characteristics of ready-mixed concrete industry and analysis on the difference between ready-mixed concrete companies and ordinary production management enterprises, this paper, making full use of the thinking of external environment school, enterprise resources school and enterprise ability school in enterprise competitiveness theory ,analyzed and studied the internal and external environmental factors which influence the competitiveness of our ready-mixed concrete companies, and emphatically analyzed the competitive industry environment in which our ready-mixed concrete companies located by using the Michael Porter Five-force Competition Model.Based on the above theoretical research, this paper took Chengdu Seller Concrete Company as a typical example. By analyzing internal and external environment in which Chengdu Seller Concrete Company located, the author reached a conclusion that: in order to promote market competitiveness, ready-mixed concrete companies should take aimed measures in accordance with the industry characteristics, and also combined with self resources and ability. At present, in accordance with new domestic situation of thoroughly applying scientific concept of development, developing circular economy and building save society, the ready-mixed concrete companies should devote major efforts to using new materials, new technology and new technological process, developing green high performance concrete and special concrete, and also making an attempt to integrate technical innovation and management innovation with build natural resources-saved and environment-friendly enterprises. Furthermore, they should establish modern management system of enterprises, and make enterprises sustainable development. This is a permanent solution on promoting competitiveness of ready-mixed concrete companies.
