Research On Core Competences For Telecommunication Enterprise

Currently, the telecommunication enterprises'competitiveness is relatively low in the highly competitive international market, technical innovation is weak, telecommunication enterprises are vulnerable to the impact of the market environment. Cultivating core competences for telecommunication enterprises is an effective way to solve the above problems. This article holds an idea that core competence of telecommunication enterprises is a comprehensive ability, through a combination of capacity and resources, telecommunication enterprises can dynamically adapt to the external environment, and obtain good performances and long-term competitive advantage in the market. The core competences of telecommunication enterprises allow enterprises to do better than their competitors, and maintain sustainable competitive advantage.The content and contributions of this paper are abstracted as follows:1)This paper summarize papers for core competences, introduce viewpoint of core competitiveness from resources, ability, technology, knowledge, integration. It analyses characteristics of core competences for telecommunication enterprise, pointes out the insufficiency of previous studies and key point of this paper. It summaries the telecommunication enterprise's characteristic, carries on the value chain analysis, does value chain analysis for telecommunication enterprise, proposes definition of core competences of telecommunication enterprises, and does a SWOT analysis to the telecommunication industry.2)It gets 37 factors that affect the core competences of telecommunication enterprises initially based on papers, does surveys of telecommunication enterprises to 159 peoples with questionnaire. It ultimately gets 26 factors and 8 common factors that affect the core competences of telecommunication enterprises with factor analysis, and analyses common factors.3)An system is proposed for cultivating core competences of telecommunication enterprises. Based on factors that affect the core competences of telecommunication enterprises, this study gives some suggestions on cultivating core competences for telecommunication enterprises.
