The theory of Business Process Reengineering has been a hot topic since it was put forward by Michael Hammer and James Champy in the book of "Reengineering the Corporation-A Manifesto for Business Revolution". BPR can be leveraged to reform traditional hierarchy organization, crack down the boundaries among departments, create a customer-oriented system which can provide customers with high-quality products and service in a short time, and enhance the competitive advantage of companies in the economic globalization process. So far the theory of BPR is still the most active research area of enterprise management.In this paper, the author puts forward a way to implement BPR that fits for the business environment of China on the basis of studying the relevant theories and successful experience of developed countries. The paper consists of 3 parts:Part I: It systematically introduced the theories and practice of BPR. By studying the process and business process, analyzing the development of BPR and the basic thinking of the Business Process Reengineering, the author made it clear that the three key points of BPR are: mind reengineering, technology and process reengineering, organizational structure reengineering.Part II: It introduced a method of BPR implementation based on information technology in chapter three and four. In the study of chapter three, the author proposed some innovative ideas about BPR through the research of procurement process of Ford Motor; In the study of chapter four, the author proposed a new way about implementing BPR--Comprehensive BPR method.Part III: The Comprehensive BPR method was applied in the BPR case in Fareast Cable Co, Ltd.
