The human resources management and development current status doesn't meet the expectation when talking about its implementation in China's hospitality industry. One of the main reasons is the high staff turnover. The high staff turnover leads to lower service quality, higher staff cost, more unstable employees and lower employees' morale, and in the end the damage of the business. Hence solving high staff turnover is a major research for most of the companies. This essay tries to combine human resources management strategy and methodology into the practice of reducing staff turnover of hospitality industry which aims to total control of staff turnover through selective human resources methods.The essay is based on basic management concepts and theories and critically reviewed all relevant human resources theories. It uses Sheraton Dongguan Hotel as a key reference and annalyze its basic conditions like industry environment and competitive status etc.Further analyze its staff turnover root causes,its characteristics and through using author's real working experience and under the background of high staff turnover of the whole industry from three basic angles: external environment,using department and human resources department.Conclusion is to construct a systematic & consummate human recources management system, especially a complete training and development system, lays a very important role in reducing staff turnover, enhance staff's satisfaction index and retain key staff. Conclusions in this article will have optimistic impact to the human resources professionals of hospitality industry.
