Research Modern Leisure Industry From Ancient Leisure Thoughts

Along with the rapid development of Chinese economy, Chinese leisure industry is experiencing radical changes, which bring forth many new concepts such as the age of leisure, leisure economy, leisure industry, leisure catering, leisure food, and so on. The development of leisure industry has given a great promotion to the economy of our country; however, there are a lot of misunderstanding of leisure because of the industry is still immature, which bring many unwise consuming acts and distorted the function of leisure. Leisure culture has long been existed in traditional Chinese culture, which benefits the leisure a lot and can guide it to a right direction. Thus, it is an important task for us to summarize the traditional leisure culture and study its meaning to the development of leisure industry, so that it goes healthfully. The thesis, setting out from the etymology of leisure, aiming at the nature of leisure, abstracted simple and popularly accepted concept of leisure from a great a number of concepts. Then, we analyze the concept of leisure, and reclassify of leisure from the point view of economy and human being.Based on the studies of forerunners, the thesis mainly discuss traditional leisure thoughts of China and outlines it in two aspects: first, to study leisure thoughts; second, to make a further classification of the former from traditional Chinese culture. On the second part, we mainly discuss Chinese local culture; however, we can not totally avoid talking about them together, because the two parts themselves are associated with each other closely. Nowadays recreation has been one of the parts of our daily lives, but not everybody can well enjoy them, and there are also all kinds of problems in the rapidly developing leisure economy. From the angel of traditional Chinese culture and aiming to solve the problems in contemporary leisure economy, the thesis make some suggestion on the principles of solving the problems, and madk some predictions on the future development of leisure industry as well.
