As a media truthfully reflects the times, travel sites can reflect the leisure needsof the current society. Travel sites take leisure as core communication, and theirleisure communication includes spreading leisure concept, enriching leisureexperience and guiding public leisure ways. This article focuses on what kind ofleisure information and leisure concept the travel sites pass to the public to get bettereconomic and social benefits. Systematical analysis, summaries of the status quo andthe significance of leisure communication are necessary in order to explore thedevelopment of travel sites’ leisure communication in the future to ensure travel sites’better economic benefit as well as effective leisure communication.First, makes an analysis on status quo of travel sites’leisure communication fromthe function and the environment of travel sites’ leisure communication. Travel siteshave developed ten years in China, and gradually take on the important task thatpassing a variety of leisure information to the public, enriching public leisureexperience and guiding the public to leisure.Secondly, analyzes the contents, ways and significance of travel sites’ leisurecommunication. Due to the particularity of their merchandise travel sites attach greatimportance to the interaction with the users which is the key to their success. Theimage of travel sites relies on internet word of mouth because of their particularmerchandise. Travel sites’ users especially trust the travel products or servicesrecommended by the opinion leaders on the internet, so the sites also make full use ofhuman resources in the users’ real-life to recommend products to other users. Travelsites take a variety of modes of communication to build a platform to interact with theusers for better leisure communication. Certainly travel sites’ leisure communicationcan enhance their social brand image and also can foster leisure consciousness tomake leisure become a public behavior. Mass media creates a social context forleisure concept with leisure communication, and the leisure concept praised by themedias can be accepted by the public.Last, summarizes the main research content of this paper and takes a futureoutlook of travel sites’ leisure communication. In order to come to the fore among many websites, travel sites need to convey to the users with personalized, scientific,and correct concept of leisure, and then lead the public to take a more scientific andrational way of leisure to meet public leisure needs and to get more economic benefitsat the same time. Travel sites’ leisure communication can enrich leisure life of thepublic in our country while drive the development of leisure economy.
