In the past 50 years, China automobile industry has followed a long and tortuous course in its development process. And it developed fast in the term of Tenth Five-Year Plan. In 2004, the auto output has exceeded 5 million, and China became the third largest vehicle manufacturer in the word. In 2020, China will become the first largest vehicle manufacturer, and the total amount of cars will not exceed 15 million. When the automobile industry in china is developing energetically, the problems confronted the automobile industry in china are very serious, except the problems confronted all countries in the world-energy problem and environmental pollution, lacking independent innovation and low ability of auto product development have become Bottlenecks of the automobile industry development in china. Because of the conservation and Energy-saving electric performance, electric automobile have become the emphases of automobile product development in world countries, Compare with traditional internal-combustion engine, the gap between our country's electrical automobile technologies and advanced world technical levels is very small, this brings a chance of our country's automobile industry development.Based on auto collaborative development and program of DongFeng HEV, this thesis used Object-oriented Method and Rational Rose to set up a process management model about DongFeng HEV collaborative development process. This made a sound foundation for constituting a flexible auto development system.Firstly, the thesis summarized the methods of product development process modeling, and elaborated why select Object-oriented Method based on UML. Based on summary of many theories about auto development management, the thesis brought out the collaborative development period.Secondly, based on the theories of product development process, the thesis analyzed the definition and characteristics of collaborative product development. Then the thesis presented the new trend of auto development based on selective analysis of development flow and characteristics of auto. Auto development process is a very complex system. And requirement analysis is the basement and key of understanding system. So the thesis analyzed developing activities, developer, and developing data in the four auto development phases. This made a sound foundation for model design.Then the thesis used the UML and Rational Rose to set up a visual model for DongFeng HEV development. The thesis analyzed development process including actor, use-case, class, object and their relations with 5 basal views which are provided by UML, and put forward basal models and realized models of system. This made a basement for further constituting product development process management system.
