With the promotion of project law in our construction enterprises, the state-owned large and middle construction enterprises has developed a management mode that takes project as its starting point. Construction project manager holds a commission, which is entrusted by legal representatives, to take full charge of the constructing process. The manager plays a great role in the processing of construction. The objective and fair appraise for project manager's performance plays a good role to the incentive mechanism research of project manager. So the research of project manager's performance management is pregnant with significant meaning.This paper defines project manager's performance from two aspects of performance and competence .Upon analyzing the specialty of the project manager's performance management, this paper designs the performance management's process flow of project manager. Through analyzing manager's job and project team's objects with MBO (Management by objectives), the performance planning is planned; through the analyzing of project manager's competence, the competence planning is planned. This paper carries the performance into effect by sustaining performance communication and job record. This paper systemically introduces the appraisal method and mode which is based on the management by objective and 360 degree performance. Performance feedback face to face communication and performance betterment planning can improve the performance and competence of project managers. At last the practical case is adopted to confirm the guiding significance of this paper. |
