The Research On The Sustainable Development Of Resource Oriented City

The sustainable development of resource oriented cities is a difficult problem of the world because industrial structure, environment and social circumstance will deteriorate during the development of resourceful cities. Furthermore, the resource will be exhausted if it is not controlled. There are 118 cities in China, approximately 18% of all the cities, which are the great type. Some cities have already appeared the prostrate situation because of extensive development but some have just entered autumn just now. Different period of resource oriented cities should have discriminating methods. However, the most research of resource oriented cities focus on restructuring of resource oriented cities but not sustainable development of resource oriented cities. They have investigated more prostrate resource oriented cities, which have cabined scope. Hence, take the Coal-resource Oriented City—Jincheng of Shanxi province for example, this paper uses demonstration analysis to indagate the sustainable development of resource oriented cities, and to provide theoretics and advices to Shanxi's, country's as well as the world's sustainable development of resource oriented cities.First of all, this paper defined the resource oriented cities, studied developing rule of the resource oriented cities and analyzed theory of the sustainable development. Then it raised a point of contents of the resource oriented cities' the sustainable development and defined relationship as well as difference between the restructure of resource oriented cities and the sustainable development of resource oriented cities.Secondly, this paper consists of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The first includes collecting, settling and analyzing the original data of Jincheng, and choosing 27 targets, and adopting the plotting arrangement of aim. The second include the Strengths, the Weaknesses, the Opportunities, the Threats of Jincheng based on understanding the situation. Then, the conclusion is educed as follows: 1) Jincheng is in a period of maturity in the development of resource oriented cities; 2) Jincheng has the ability to develop sustainably; 3) Jincheng should adopt measures to achieve the sustainable development.Finally, grounding on the above research and combining the real situation of Jincheng, this paper puts forward some suggestions as follows: l)Jincheng should adopt the growing manner of saving resource; 2) Jincheng should optimize the industrial structure. The first develops chemical industry, the second fosters environmental industry; 3) Jincheng should rebuilds the city function.
