Evaluation Of Sustainable Land Use In Resource-Based Cities

Land is the most basic production and living materials required for the survival of mankind, with the rapid development of China’s social economy, the land ecological system in China has suffered from the unprecedented stress, the situation of sustainable use of land is not optimistic, among which, those resource-based cities that makes a great contribution to China’s social and economic development are the most severe. In this paper, we take Jincheng, a typical resource-based city, as a research object,through,the "national hectares" ecological footprint model to evaluate the sustainable uti lization of land resources, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions accordingly.The paper, guided by the method and theories of land sustainable use and optimal allocation of land resources and based on the summary analysis of land sustainable use and present situation of domestic and foreign research of ecological footprint method,uses the "national hectares" ecological footprint method to calculate China’s balanced factor and jincheng production factors between 2004-2013, on the basis of which carrys on the quantitative analysis of land sustainable use capacity of Jincheng city, from the result of calculation, the ecological deficit of the ecological footprint of Jincheng has always existed this decade, its social and economic development and land utilization pre sented a weaker sustainability; And then analyze and calculate the relavant ecological footprint index, made the prediction of the ecological footprint of Jincheng in the next four years between 2014-2017. Finally, on the basis of the calculation results of Jincheng’s ecological footprint, we predict the extended indexes of Jincheng’s ecological footprint, and evaluate the sustainable development situation of jincheng accordingly,and draw a conclution that the sustainable use of jincheng’s land is in a good level.Finall y, from the view of economy, nature and society, some restricting factors of the sustaina ble use of land resources in Jincheng are analyzed, and accordingly offer some counter measures and suggestions on furture urban development and land utilization direction of Jincheng in order to provide some help for achieving a good level of land sustainable utilization, also provide some references in terms of land utilization for other resource based cities with the same type of Jincheng.
