Cultivation Of New Type Of Peasants In The Construction Of Socialism New Rural Areas

In China, the problems of agriculture, countryside and peasants have become the essentialproblems which influence the whole situation of the nation and its people, and the root of theproblems is the problem of peasants. The fifth session of the sixteenth parliament of the CPC putforth the requirement of constructing socialism new countryside—to develop the production, toimprove living standard, to strengthen the village civilization, to keep the village clean and tomanage the villages democratically. So new type of peasants are needed and essential, for they arethe main body of constructing Socialism new countryside. Cultivating new type of peasants, whoare literate and good at skills and management, and improving their overall qualities are the basicways to transfer the burden of large rural population into the advantage of human resources.The basic theories of this thesis are Marx's theory of human overall development, Schuwltz'stheories of human capital and life education. In the paper, the basic meaning of new type ofpeasants, and differences between new type and traditional peasants are studies, and the standardof new type of peasants is raised. They can adapt on the development of socialist market economy,and help construct harmonious society. They have sound qualities in literature, scientifictechnology, public good, management and health.This thesis applies such methods as a large amount of description analysis and measuringanalyzing, data collecting and data analysis, so as to explore the situation and problems of currentpeasants as well as their causes. It starts with the situation of peasants' literate quality,technological quality, management quality, ideological quality and health quality, and analysestheir influential factors in system, economy, culture, healthcare, education, industry and areas.The paper also draws some experiences from foreign practice in cultivating farmers, such asin US, Germany, Japan, France, UK and Korea. We compare their experiences and get someenlightening for China's Cultivation of new type of peasants.Based on analysis of the problem of peasants' quality education, combining the need ofcultivating new type of peasants, required by constructing socialism new countryside, the paperraises some countermeasures—strengthening peasants' ideological quality, developing ruraleducation, prospering rural cultural causes, enhancing rural professional training and constructionadult education, improving peasants' management training and rural hygiene.
