| Consumption demand is one of the most important components of the total demand.Consumption demand can be divided into government demand and private demand, theheavier proportion of which is the rural demand. Now, because of overheatinginvestment and excessive dependence of foreign trade, people shift the focus ofeconomic development to the consumption demand. "Farmer, rural, agriculture" isthe big problem involving the people's livelihood. "Three Nong problems" is not onlyrelated to themselves, but also affects the country's economic development. Therefore, the study of consumer is the era choice. This paper researches on rural consumption function in recent years, and price, uncertainty, regional differences affecting consumption on the basis of this function. The full text is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introducing thesignificance of the study, research methods, the structure and content of the textof the technical line. Chapter 6 contains insufficiencies and results of research.Chapter 2 studies available literature, summarizing the theory of external Westernconsumption set, and finds that the trend of domestic consumption research. Chapter3 discusses current rural consumer's behavior characteristics, focusing on theuncertainty, mobility restrictions, regional differences, price factors. Chapter 4provides an analysis of this research tool—Panel Data theories. Chapter 5 is thecore content, the integration of all the chapters of the study, and establishes threeconsumption hypothesis: Keyens consumption function,LC-PIH,ECM. 286 observationsused in the current 1994-2004 sample data, test the hypothesis, the analysis concludedrural residents consumption function, and prices, uncertainty, regional differencesand other factors on rural consumer impact.Research findings are summarized as follows: 1,Consumption function: in thesample data, the test results find LC-PIH could explain rural consumption more power. However, Keyens consumption function indicates that income is the decisive factoraffecting consumption, the MPC is 0.62. Precautionary saving theory and ECM studythe impact of uncertainty on rural consumption preliminarily. 2,Price: In LC-PIHbased on the test result, the price has apositive significant impact. In the result of ECM, the short-term price fluctuations have positive impact on consumption, butthe long-term relations between consumption and price has the significant negativeimpact. The results indicate that the price impact on rural consumption is complex. 3,Uncertainty: Using ECM, preliminarily study the impact of uncertainty. According toprecautionary saving theory and ECM, it can be got: the uncertainty has a restrainingbigger impact on consumption. The uncertainties mainly come from income andexpenditure. 4,Regional differences: The region variable refer to all non-incomefactors combined outside of price, including many non-quantitative factors asconsumption habits, consumer culture. Paper studies regional differences of samplesof 26 provinces data, and the consumption differences of Eastern, Central and Westernrural residents. |
