The Application Of Data Mining On User Analysis

The globalization and development of information technique improved people's ability of collecting data. A lot of data have been produced in different fields in the past. As a result of lacking senior analysis methods and tools, the treasure contained in the data gold mine has not been mined. This is so called rich data and poor information. Coupled with the demand of finding information in huge amount of data, data mining went out of laboratory into application.The application of Bulletin Boards System (BBS) have provided a freely communicational space for network users in which user could publish their ideas. But the traditional BBS management policy is unsuitable for the increasing data on BBS. Thus, how to analyze the pattern of user property and user behavior in order to manage the BBS attracts people's attention.With this demand, this paper imports data mining method into user analysis. The following work has been achieved in this paper. Design user model according to BBS property. Build user data warehouse with the historical data. Browse multi-dimension data with the help of OLAP technique. Use different tools and methods according different data scale. Choose Analysis Services tools to implement huge scale data mining with cluster and decision tree methods, choose self-designed tools to implement small scale data mining. Analyze the isolated point with the query tools. During the process of data mining, this paper sums up the historical data trends and forecasts the future.
