The Application Of Data Warehouse In Analysis System Of Securities Industry

With the development of information technology and economy, world economy is increasingly characterized by globalization, network, information and knowledge. Enterprises businesses create a lot important data every day, but only few are used by relative business analyses. Most enterprises are immersed in the state of a surplus of data and a shortage of available information. If we make use of Data Warehouse (DW), On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Data Mining (DM) in the process of modern enterprise industry analysis, the capability of analysis and decision would be improved dramatically. DW takes focus on the storage and organization of data. OLAP pays attention to the analyses of data, and DM emphasizes particularly on the automatic discovering of knowledge. Only all three technologies are combined together, functions of them would bring into play in deed.This thesis discusses relative knowledge of DW application in analysis system of securities industry. It mainly introduces the design of DW and the architecture of analysis system based on DW, OLAP and DW. According to pragmatic demand of Security industry, it proposes a solution of analysis system in securities industry using DW, OLAP and DM. The researches in this thesis have significant worth in application of DW in analysis system of securities industry.The thesis is organized by five parts as follows. I start Part 1 by introducing background, research object and application summary of DW and securities industry information at home and abroad. Meanwhile, innovations in this thesis are listed; Part 2 discusses DW, it includes concepts, characters, data organization, architecture and its analyzing tools, moreover, its application in Security industry, and application products and suppliers are also touched upon. In Part 3, the designs of analysis system of securities industry are mentioned. I introduce the function model, make a choice of technology routine, create the architecture of the system, draw out the network topology and argue the context of system development and running. Part 4 describes the application of DW in analysis system of securities industry detailedly. In this part, the design and realization procedures of DW are discussed firstly. And then OLAP is introduced into the field of securities analysis, the system can utilize OLAP to make users observe and compare the data of stock deal from different angles and make use of multi-member linearity regression method to predict the price of stock . In the end, taking the example of mining the association rules between data and stocks using DW technology to impart the stock trend and relations between stocks to investors , in order to make a right decision in investment. Finally, I conclude in Part 5 and give the prospect of the research in DW application of security industry and the emphasis in the future research work.
