Lean Six Sigma's Application In Quality Management Of Supply Chain

Quality Management in Supply Chain is to manage the process of establishment and implementation for product quality in the field of whole supply chain , in order to execute product quality control and assurance of supply chain.The major content of quality management in supply chain include setting up completed and effective quality assurance system in supply chain ,and ensuring the supply chain to have continuous and stable capability for quality assurance,in order to provide quick feedback for the request of customer and afford good product and service.Lean six sigma ,which is the integration of lean and six sigma,can create a competitive advantage.Six sigma aims at finding/eliminating variation, gaining customer satisfaction,and improving performance dramatically,while lean philosophy focuses on reducing waste,optimizing the process,and saving the cost.Both lean philosophy and six sigma assentially aim at continuous improvement and take many reciprocally complementary advantages.Nowdays the competition in digital camera market is very drastic . Kodak Electronical Company have to face this chanllege .The cost and quality of supplier chain directly impact the cost and quality of digital camera.So high management of Kodak begin to emphasis quality management in supplier chain and request both good supplier quality performance and low cost. This thesis is associated with the theory of quality management in supplier chain and lean six sigma and aimed at the above requirement from high management of company,analyse the existed issue in current supply chain quality management and apply the method/tool of lean six sigma to achieve the goal .
