As a sunrise industry in 21st century, tourism has a broad prospect in development. Therefore, many countries in the world list it as an important industry. The travel service, the hotel and the transportation department are always called the three big props of tourism. Connecting tourists and the traveling supplier's as a bridge, the travel service industry has made the tremendous contribution for tourism development, it is always considered to be the main item of tourism industry. Along with the development of computer technology and the network technology, the traveling supplier's network direct sale and the new electronic travel agency's appearance cause the travel serive to face a huge challenge; on the other hand the travel service may also use the advanced technology to develop electronic commerce. In a word, in internet age travel service's future is a question worthy of thoroughly studying.The thesis is mainly made up of six parts. The first chapter introduced the internet origin, the present situation of internet in our country and its characteristics; and outlined the electronic commerce's definition, features classification as well as its influence on social economy environment. The second chapter briefly discussed the development of domestic and foreign traveling electronic commerce, analyzed the natural compatibility between the electronic commerce and tourism and provided three basic theories of traveling electronic commerce. The third chapter is the main part of this thesis. In view of the current impact and the challenge faced by travel services in internet age, the author holds that electronic commerce is an effective solution while producing the implementation ways to develop the electronic commerce of Chinese travel services. The forth and fifth chapter are cases of this thesis. Case 1: Take the CYTS on-line as an example, has analyzed three big tradition services of travel agencies, that is the traveling line, the hotel and the airplane ticket, how to do under the electronic commerce. Case 2: Takes the travel service industry of Changsha city as an example.
