Motivation is an important function in the human resource management. The purpose to study motivational theory is to find out and use the principle and method, in order to use means of encouraging in management, arouse the enthusiasm of organizing member's work, improve efficiency of organization, and benefit management of the human resources. As the key of human resource management, motivation must pay attention to the needs of employees, offer and develop all kinds of motivation resource in order to achieve good results.With the advent of the new era of knowledge-based economy, human resources are leveraging an increasingly role for enterprises'success and development. Especially, the motivation is very important in human resource management. Electric power enterprise also needs effective motivation management. But now, there are some problems in it. The enterprise can't encourage the employee effectively. So, we must improve the motivation to enhance the management.Take chongqing Beibei electric power enterprise for example, based on the investigation of the employee work satisfaction and the demand characteristics, according to the motivational theory, combing with the research results of enterprise motivation abroad and home, as well as manage research state, the investigated dates were analyzed by many methods such as date statistics and chart analyzing.From the enterprise organization system, salary, staff development and performance assessment measures analysis of the current situation of motivation management, the paper finds the motivation methods from the perspective of positive and negative motivation to the existing problems.
