At present, China's food and drug safety problems frequently occur, which hasgreat impact on people's physical and mental health, strengthen the supervision offood and drug industry is imminent. In this context, we carry out in-depth research onsupervision effectiveness evaluation system of civil servant in Xinjiang food and drugsupervision system, practically summarize successful experience of performanceassessment among civil servants in the system of food and drug supervision, point outthe existing problems and make beneficial exploration on how to improve theperformance evaluation system and regulation efficiency.This article is divided into four parts: the first part is about the basic theory ofcivil servant's performance assessment; the main purposes are to reveal theconnotation, theory, method, principle and influence factors of civil servant'sperformance assessment. The second part analyzes the status of performance appraisalabout the food and drug administration of Xinjiang. The emphasis is on the food anddrug administration of civil servant's performance assessment system, and focus onthree aspects which are the evaluation standard, evaluation method and the basicprocedures, inspection result. The third part analyzes existing problems and reasons inthe civil service examination in the food and drug administration of Xinjiang. In thissection, we firstly obtain some existing problems in civil service examination of thefood and drug administration of Xinjiang based on the analysis in the second part.Secondly, the causes of the problems are analyzed through three aspects of the people,"soft environment"and other factors. The fourth part puts forward improvement plansfor civil servant's performance assessment in the food and drug supervision system ofXinjiang.
