This study using questionnaire strives to do some research on employee's job engagement present situation investigation and affecting factors. Below are the basic ideas:Firstly, using the Utrecht to search the employee's job engagement present situation investigation in Shanghai and analyze the characteristics employee's job engagement. Secondly, the theoretical hypothesis is constructed on the literature review, the open-ended questionnaire, and the interview with the human resource managers; according to the theoretical hypothesis, the preliminary questionnaire is designed; by the exploratory factor analysis of the preliminary questionnaire, the formal questionnaire is developed and its reliability and validity were verified; I analyzed the characteristics. Through these studies, I deserved the results as follows:(1) The characteristics of gender, age, marriage, the work time in the company, enterprise nature and the level of management are the significant differences on the employee's job engagement present situation investigation in Shanghai;(2) The formal questionnaire contains five dimensions with 20 formal items. These five dimensions are direct supervisor, salary treatment, training and development, position matching, people recovery. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire are verified significantly, and could be applied to measure the employee's job engagement;(3) The characteristics of gender, age, marriage, the work time in the company, enterprise nature and the level of management are the significant differences on the employee's job engagement affecting factors in Shanghai;(4) For Chinese employees, the Utrecht and the formal questionnaire have positive interrelated relationships between each other.
