Project Cost Management Of Servo Drive Product Development Based On Value Engineering

By introducing the project management system of knowledge and the cost management theory, especially the method of value engineering, the author completed the servo drive product development project successfully. The paper introduces how to apply the value engineering theory and methods combined with project management processes in to the servo drive development project. The paper also introduces how to use the function system analysis technique, the value metrics and other tools to guide the servo drive product development process. By summarizing previous theory and experience, the paper introduces a new method to quantitative the product functions.By analyzing the servo drive product functions and costs, the author found the low value area of the product then improved. And finally reduced the product costs and enhanced the product values.
