Since the 1980s, along with the deepening of economic globalization, considerable changes in the population size and structure, technical innovation, political and economic uncertainty, increasing concerns and commitments to corporate social responsibilities, businesses have been confronted with a complicated and volatile operational environment. In order to maintain survival and development, businesses should learn to manage, focus on the "development strategy", and give top priority to the selection of their future development vision and objectives as well as adjustments to their development route and strategy for implementation. Strategy provides guidance on the long-term development and direction of an enterprise by taking the whole situation in consideration.Huanan Blower Company is among the first in Hunan Province to specialize in manufacturing blowers. Its products are widely applied in agriculture, industry and many other sectors. It is in the equipment manufacturing industry greatly encouraged by the State. By analyzing and examining the theory of its development strategy through "PEST" and "SWOT", this paper provides a deep insight into the overall domestic environment and background and industrial development trends, examines its existing strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, establishes feasible direction for its strategic development, and provides analysis and selection of its development strategy.According to this paper, in the increasingly fiercer mechanical manufacturing industry, the company should adopt a market-product strategy in light of its strengths. It should maintain rapid growth by means of market development, product development, and a vertical integration strategy. In terms of competitive strategy, the focus strategy and the dynamic competitive strategy should be adopted. To ensure their implementation, it should build its corporate culture, focus on restructuring, enhance its development capacity, and change its marketing patterns so as to ensure the successful implementation of its development strategy.
