As the coming of global market and globle manufacturing era, more and more companies choose to outsource non core business, and set up closing tie with suppliers. Current competition is competition between supply chain, and supplier become more and more important in the supply chain. A compay faced many problems on the supplier management, and it's nessecary to timely take improving actions if the company wants to survive on this competitive market.Through analysis of supplier management process, the article diagnoses the weakness of this process. By studying of related theories, this article identifies tools for improving process, and uses tools to improve supplier management process of A company.Besides facing problems on supplier management process, A company also encounters many problems resulted from poor quality of purchased products. This article introduces several tools used for improving product quality and through the practice of usaging these tools in supplier's premises, upgrades supplier's product quality.Finally, the article evaluates the effectiveness of this improving study throuth 5 indicators and these indicators'performanance reflect this study obviously improved A company's supplier management performance. The achieved performance is as following, upgraded"qualified supplier rate"from 78% to 94%, upgraded"incoming lot pass rate"from 90% to 96%, and upgraded"incoming on time delivery rate"from 85% to 93%. The article also analyzes the"purchase cost decrease rate", and makes a conclusion that the study has achived positive business performance and the cost save amount is 940,000RMB in recent 3 seasons.
