Along with the socialization and marketization of production, the specializationof enterprises is improving greatly. Instead of being traditional intensive enterprises,the majority of them are turning into open companies which only take theirspecialization into consideration while accompanying with purchasing. In this case,competition is among supply chains rather than two companies. As the rapiddissemination of information, commodity price is getting more and more transparent.Moreover, due to the improving professionalization of logistics industry, theuniformly/consistency of delivery speed is guaranteed, thereof making supplierquality one of the key element in competition. Therefore, management of supplierquality is essential in business management. There is a close relationship betweenquality of product and management of supplier quality. Since operating costs,delivery deadline and business reputation directly depend on the quality of product, itis the internal factor that maintains the integrity of the supply chain and guaranteeseffective operation. In other words, quality is the basic element that ensures andmaintains the equilibrium between supply and demand. Therefore, effectivemanagement of supplier quality has been widely discussed among enterprises.Nowadays, many SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), especiallymanufacture enterprises, are facing problems such as poor management of supplierquality, and lack of specialists in quality management and emphasis of leaders. Hence,these enterprises fail to be sustainable due to their poor quality of products and inefficiency of productivity. This article chooses F Company (pneumatic products) asthe target for research, aiming to improve management of supplier quality within F’sspecific context by studying relevant theory at home and abroad, and analysing thecurrent situation in F. To be more specific, first of all, problems exist amongmanagement of supplier quality are categorized based on the IQC (Incoming qualitycontrol) data, in order to approach the similarity and difference between thoseproblems. Then, theories concerning supplier quality are used to explain root causesof those problems, which enable F to rethink the problems they are facing. After that,combining the certain characteristics of F’s products and suppliers, different methodsare adopted to provide suggestions for improvement. Moreover, detailed explanationof implementation is given at the end of this article.The results of this research, which play key part in management of supplierquality, are partly adopted by F Company and can be referenced for other companies.
