Baicheng Basin is located in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, China. In terms of geographical division, the vegetation in this region belongs to the warm temperate shrub and subshrub desert area of Xinjiang. The unique natural geographical location and ecological environment of this region have led to abundant plant species. Studies on the distribution and diversity of the flora in Baicheng Basin are very important for the use, sustainable development and protection of plants in this region. Based on field studies and relevant literature, the diversity and flora of seed plants in Baicheng Basin were systematically analyzed. Results showed:There were approximately 931 species of seed plants belonging to 79 families and366 genera in Baicheng Basin. Among these, 16 families were dominant family accounting for 20.25%,which is Chenopodiaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Ranunculaceae, Cruciferae, Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Tamaricaceae, Umbelliferae, Gentianaceae, Boraginaceae, Labiatae, Scrophulariaceae, Composifae, Graminae, Cyperaceae, Liliaceae. 9 families were typical family, accounting for 11.39%,which is Tamaricaceae, Chenopodiacea, Potamogetonaceae, Papaveraceae, Plumbaginaceae, Saxifragaceae, Juncaceae, Gentianaceae, Caryophyllaceae。Herbaceous seed plants(805in total) were the dominant type in Baicheng Basin, accounting for 86.13% of total seed plant species in this region. There were 107 shrub species(11.42%), 17 tree species(1.06%) and 13 vine species(1.31%). 27 species were endemic to Xinjiang, accounting for 10.04 % of total endemic species in Xinjiang. The 80 seed plant families could be divided into six types and seven subtypes. North Temperate elements(20 families) were dominant in family floristic composition, accounting for 55.56 % of total non-cosmopolitan families. In terms of the floristic geographical distribution type, 366 genera of seed plants could be divided into 12 types and 17 subtypes, with north temperate elements(136genera) accounting for 43.59% of total non-cosmopolitan genera.Baicheng Basin seed distribution curve characteristic features of species diversity on plant structure exhibited a single peak elevation gradient, altitude 1900-2000 m within the scope of the maximum species richness diversity. The dominant families Brassicaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Tamaricaceae with elevation species richness decreased, while the other 13 plants species richness decreased with increasing altitude. Characterize the Branch in poppy, white Danko, Saxifragaceae,Gentianaceae, after Caryophyllaceae species richness with elevation to reduce the increase, the remaining 4 families with elevation and decreasing trend. Life form on the altitudinal gradient, trees, shrubs, vines species richness decreased with elevation, herb increases with increasing altitude richness, the highest elevation of 2100-2200 m richness, and then display a downward trend. Geographical components, sub-temperate and temperate distribution Buco with increasing altitude showed a decreasing trend after the first increase. Pan-tropical and Mediterranean sub-sub Buco Buco with elevation gradient and showing a decreasing trend, Pantropic genera and Mediterranean genera with elevation and show a decreasing trend. In the distribution of community types, there were approximately 116 species of seed plants belonging to 31 families and 67 genera in Laohutai,Heiyinshan.TWINSPAN methods were used to classify the plant community types and.TWINSPAN results showed that the vegetation in this region could be divided into 7 associations, which are distributed in lakeside shallow water zone, lakeside marshes zone, bushes and trees lakeshore zone and xeric shrubs zone. These associations can be named as follows: I:Ass. Eucarex Coss.et Germ.sp.+ Polygonum viviparum; II: Ass. Caragana turfanensis(Krassn.) Kom. + Juniperus sabina L.- Agropyron pectinatum- Eucarex Coss.et Germ.sp.; III: Ass. Caragana turfanensis(Krassn.) Kom.- Poa L.sp.; IV: Ass. Picea schrenkiana Fisch.et Mey.-Poa L.sp.; V: Ass. Kalidium cuspidatum(Ung.-Sternb.) Grub.+ Convolvulus tragacanthoides Turcz.- Artemisia vulgaris L.; VI: Ass. Anabasis brevifolia C.A.Mey.- Artemisia vulgaris L.; VII, Ass. Caragana dasyphylla Pojark.+Anabasis aphylla L.- Aristida heymannii Regel.
