Miaoling Mountains is located in the east of Yunnan-Guizhou plateau which is N26°26′~25°40′,E106°59′ ~ 108°40′,as well as is watershed, with the area of 12898.8km2,between Yangtze river and the Zhujiang river in GuizhouMore than 3300 collected specimens of bryophyte and more than 1300 specimens gathered from Guizhou university herbarium(GACP) are identified and statistical datas are obtained.Based on the arrangement of 《 Catalogue of Life China 》( The first volume of bryophytes),the result show that in this region, there are a total of 92 families,260 genera and 972 species of bryophyte(including taxa of infraspecis, similar below) accounting61.33%,43.99%and 32.17% of the total of the familiy, genera and species of bryophyte all over the china including 52 families,188genera and 672 species mosses accouting 60.47%、43.62%and 34.55% of the total mosses, including 36 families,68 genera,295 species liveworts accounting 60.00%、44.74%a nd 28.10% of total liverworts, including 4 families 4 genera and 5species hornworts accounting 100% 、 50.00% and 19.23% of total hornworts. The two new recorded families, four new recorded genera and 35 new recorded species are firstly discovered, icluding two new recorded genera and 24 new recorded species of mosses,as well as two new recorded families, two new recorded genera and 11 new recorded species of liverworts. The spatial distribution of mosses and liverworts are respectively annlyzed in Miaoling Mountains,The result show that 1) the number of famlies genera and species increase first then descrease along with the growing altitude, the trend show that 900 m — 1300m>1300m —1700m>500m—900m>1300m—1700m>500m below>2100m above;the rule of differnt matrixes is that rocks >trees>soils>>aquatics>epiphylls mosses, the rule of species numble is that rocks >soils>trees>>aquatics>epiphylls mosses, the rocks, trees and soils mosses mostly are distributed at altitude from 900 m to 1300 m.the aquatics mostly are distributed at altitude of1300 m — 1700 m.Pleurocarpous mosses and acrocarpous mosses have a similar trend of the apatial distribution along with the increase of altitude but the spatial distribution of matrix of pleurocarpous mosses is that rocks >trees>soils mosses, aquatics and epiphylls mosses are bare, the spatial distribution of matrix of acrocarpous mosses is that rocks >soils>>treesmosses, aquatics mosses are bare, epiphylls mosses are few.2)the richness of liverworts in Miaoling Mountains first increase then decrease along with the altitude increace.thetrend show that 900 m — 1300m>1300m — 1700 m ≈ 500 m — 900m>500m below >1700m—2100m>2100m above;the spatial distribution of matrix in families and genera is that rocks >trees>soils>>epiphylls and rocks >soils>trees>>epiphylls liveworts.the rocks liveworts are mostly distributed at altitude of 1700 below and at altitude 900m-1300 m,the number of liveworts are most, the trees liveworts lives at altitude of 900m—1300m and few at low or high altitude,as well as the soils and rocks liveworts have similar trend, epiphylls liveworts mainly live at altitude of 500 below. With the increase of altitude, the number of stem leaf liveworts and thallus of liveworts both increase first then decrease and reach the peak at altitude of 900m-1300 m as well as there are more than 10 species at different altitude and mainly live at altitude of 500m-1300 m,which show that stem leaf liveworts have wide adaption. The thallus of liveworts mostly live at altitude of 900m-1300 m and few live at altitude of 1700 above.
