By collecting Bryophytes specimens from Miaoling south slope region, more than3500 specimens are obtained. After identification, there are 768 bryophytes species belonging to 223 genera, 81 families, among which are mosses including 47 families, 162 genera, 539 species, liverworts including 31 families, 58 genera, 225 species, horewort including 3 families,3 genera, 4 species and one new recorded genera, 17 new recorded species. There are 14 dominate families and 17 dominate genera by analyzing the constitute of bryophytes and the geographical components of the dominate families, genera, which belong to temperature tropical distribution type, are located in the transition stage from temperate to subtropical、tropical area, meanwhile, there are many monotypic families and oligotypic species, which shows that this area is obviously particular and complex for bryophytes living.Based on definition scope in the study of the genus distribution types of Chinese seed plants from Wu zhengyi(Wu ZY, 1991), the floristic compositions are divided into 14 types, among them, the east Asian component has the largest proportion, followed by the tropical composition, among which the tropical Asian component has the largest percentage, accounting for the tropical composition 63.44%. Tropical composition and temperate composition have similar account and chinese characteristics composition have high percentage.Compared to the bryophytes of ten other areas from china, it has the most closely relationship with Fubao Danxia(Sichun), northwestern Hunan,southeast Chongqing and southwest Danxia(Chongqing) and is the most different from Changbai mountain(Jilin)、Daba mountain and Taibai mountain(Shanxi).The richness index of bryophytes is highest among 11 areas in Miaoling south slop, Guizhou, which show Miaolin south slop possess abundant bryophytes resource, followed by Changbai mountain(Jilin), as well as the richness of bryophytes from southeast Chongqing and Jianfengling of Hainan Island are lowest.The bryophyte specimens are identified and gathered in 23 quadrats as well as 232 species and dominate species with 22 specimens are obtained. compared the α diversity of bryophytes in 23 quadrats, the main factors of bryophyte diversity is the number of the species in the samples as well as the altitude, the coverage degree of herbal, human disturbance and matrix have influence on the α diversity of bryophytes; and that the bryophyte species in this area are very rich.In 23 quadrats from Miaoling area, the distribution is effected by the altitude with positive relationship and the coverage degree of herbal have influence on the distribution of bryophytes, with negative correlation, which show that the largest the coverage degree of herbal, the narrowest the distribution of bryophytes, as well as the human disturbance and matrix respectively has negative correlation and positive correlation with the distribution of bryophytes.
