An Essay On Jiang Tianji’s Thought Of Philosophy Of Science

This paper studies Jiang Tianji’s thought of philosophy of science, and it mainly summarizes, analyzes and reviews on his thought to have a deep theoretical understanding. There are four goals to be achieved in this paper. Firstly, the paper makes new understanding and summary on his theory. Secondly, it extracts the essence of his thought, the significance and influence of his thought in the research process of scientific philosophy. Thirdly, it inherits and develops Jiang Tianji’s scientific philosophy thought which has been neglected by philosophy circle for a long time. Fourthly, it makes philosophy circle to attach importance to Jiang Tianji’s scientific philosophy thought, which helps the current philosophy circle find the inherited guiding principle as well as clear methodology templet.The paper focuses on discussing Jiang Tianji’s important scientific philosophy thought, including his scientific theoretical thought, scientific methodology thought, critical scientific philosophy thought as well as his summary on scientific philosophy. Although the above contents are the research focus in scientific philosophy circle, Jiang Tianji’s understanding and research on it is unsurpassable in China. However, the domestic scholars usually focus on western philosophy and can’t see Jiang Tianji’s research results of scientific philosophy. This paper takes Jiang Tianji’s scientific theoretical thought and scientific methodology as blueprint. In addition, the paper takes his critical and creative theoretical views as contents. Meanwhile, his overall summary on scientific philosophy and his argument on specific issues are regarded as the core. The paper aims to extend his theory and show the value of his theory. Also, the paper explores his theory and the methodology reflected in his study process which has a positive significance for the research of modern scientific philosophy. In the end, I hope my research can make Chinese scientific philosophy circle find Jiang Tianji’s theoretical value and inherit the essence of his thought, so China’s research on scientific philosophy can be taken back and be established in our inherent thought, and meanwhile the chaotic status of methodology used in the research of scientific philosophy can be improved.
