Albert Einstein (18791955) is the greatest scientist in the twentieth century, hisphilosophy thoughts is not a orderly system but scattered and focused on the science ofphilosophy on the whole. He thinks that the object of natural science is objective and knowable;He thinks that natural science theory is the understanding of the nature, and therefore is likely tobe the truths. He thinks that the human can attain scientific achievements by scientific thinkingmethods; He thinks that scientists should pursue the truths and benefit the mankind and so on.These points constitutes the basic aspects of Einstein’s science philosophy. Einstein’s concept ofsubstance, epistemology, method of science and ethics, distilled from his scientific researchprocess and in turn become his strong support for his scientific research activities.The first part of this paper discusses the background of Einstein’s philosophy of scienceincluding the political and cultural background, the development of science conditions, as wellas source of Einstein’s theory of materialism, empiricism, rationalism. The second part discussesEinstein’s concept of substance in different periods, including its contents and characteristics aswell as the reason why he change his concept of substance; The third part discusses hisepistemology of science including content and features; The fourth part stud ies Einstein’sscientific research methods, including method by repudiating and rousing problem, the methodof the unity of opposites, the method of seeking simple, and the explorative deductive method;The fifth part discusses the duality of scientific activity, the rule of ethics in scientific activity thescientific activities of system ethics and the moral responsibility of scientist based on Einstein’sscientific ethics; The sixth part focus on the humanistic enlightenment for science innovationfrom the Einstein philosophy of science. Finally, the paper deepen the topic, and puts forwardsome views about further research on this subject.
