This part points out that the practice including founding the department for Geological teaching and the department for Geological surveying, both in the administrative institution of Peking Government in the period of The Republic of China,had moulded the institution of Geology in the period of The Republic of China, which includes the institution of Geological teaching,the institution of Geological researching and the institution of Geological communicating,and built the basis of the scale of Geolgocial institution in the period of The Republic of China.The chapter 2 elaborates the practice and its relative influence of TING WEN-CHIANG in the process of constructing the institution for subsidizing the scientific researching in the period of The Republic of China.Between 1924-1926,TING WEN-CHIANG had joined in the activities of The China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture, and his practice had made the scientific researching field becoming the main subsidizing subject of The China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture,and the main significance was that the subsidizing constitution of the China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture had been made.Between 1934-1935,TING WEN-CHIANG played the important role in the construction of subsidizing constitution of Academia Sinica,and because of his activity,the subsidizing constitution of Academia Sinica had formed.The chapter 3 expounded the practice of TING WEN-CHIANG and its relative influence in the field of the process of constructing the constitution of scientific assessment. When he was the Secretary-General of Academia Sinica, he realized the fact that it is necessary to set up the national research council in Academia Sinica, and for the reason,through promoting to construct the national research council in Academia Sinica and constitute the relative running procedure of national research council in Academia Sinica, TING WEN-CHIANG took charge of constructing the constitution of scientific assessment in Academia Sinica, and the constitution of scientific assessment had been formulated.The chapter 4 explored the thoughts as the reason for the practices of TING WEN-CHIANG in the process of institutionalization of science in the period of The Republic of China,which is his thoughts to develop science enterprise.First of all,he had been of this kind of thought,that is,developing industry in China needs science,so,it had became the beginning of his activities in the field of institutionalization of Geology.Secondly,he insisted that scientific research must be sustainable,for that goal,he participated in the activities of constructing the constitution of subsidizing the scientific research.At last,he raised the opinion,which is that Chinese scientific research needs co-operation.The thoughts had been the basis of constructing the constitution of scientific assessment in the period of The Republic of China.
