Residential land suitability evaluation of geological environment is to analyze the natural attribute and social attribute of land, and to decide whether the land is habitable. The factors that affect it are complicated, which includes different types of residential land location relating to geological environment elements in general.Appropriate geological environment evaluation of residential land has become the foundation of residential location planning, land use, and land development.Meigu county in liangshan prefecture, sichuan province, is located in the southeast of the qinghai-tibet plateau hengduan mountains and southwest edge of sichuan basin, where the tectonic activity is strong, and geomorphic types are changeful, geological disasters are frequently. This makes the urban and rural construction face a lot of environmental engineering geological problems. Meigu residential land development speed causes by the suitability of the mountainous area ecological that carries capacity and geology, degree of difficulty to develop and prosper factors limit. Meigu and residential land collapse, landslides and debris flows geological hazards, such as unstable slope affected, geological environment factors of Meigu living environment safety is particularly important. Therefore, this article focus on the factor analysis of the geological environment of residence land of Meigu residential land suitability from the perspective of Meigu geological environment factors.Based on the analysis on current studies in local and abroad this paper summarizes the present situation of Meigu county, and emphatically analyzes the factors that influence Meigu residential land suitability of geological environment,and constructs the geological environment of residence land suitability evaluation system. Geological conditions, topography and other factors are selected as evaluation index, which contains 10 evaluation factors in total. This paper applies APH analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determine the index weight, uses indicators index method to calculate the fitness score. Also, the county is divided into two sectors: one is suitable for residential area, and the other one is not suitable for residential area.There are 10 villages and towns regarded as suitable for residential are; there are 15 villages and towns treated as not suitable for residential are. This study puts forward to the regulation pattern of land use and proposes the key development model in the places that suitable for resident in Meigu; In places that are less suitable for residents,this study proposes a limited development pattern; In places that are not suitable forresident, this study concludes the comprehensive control and comprehensive governance model. Finally, it puts forward to the Meigu residential land geological environment regulation methods, mainly including project management, safety relocation and geological environment protection.
