In the21st century, because of the rapid development of social productive forces, people’s material living standards continue to improve, along with an increase in leisure timeactivities. In the process of rapid urbanization, the gardens that have space parkland featuresas an ideal place use for leisure activities. Especially urban park planning and variedtopography analysis, the method of sloping landscape planning and design also incorporatesfield reconnaissance, topographic maps and other traditional methods such as viewingtopographic maps.Geographic Information System (GIS) is a kind of powerful spatial analysis and dataprocessing capabilities of the visualization techniques; it has vertical multi-spatial analysisextension module. It response to the different needs of landscape planning design and analysisof the project site for scientific and rational analysis. This article (GIS) spatial analysistechniques for strong sloping terrain topography of the study area were analyzed by the use ofgeographic information systems, combined with the city park planning theory and trends, follow the principles of landscape ecological planning, providing highly realistic scientificplanning guidance. Take Panzhihua Mountain、Gualv Lakeside Park and Zengcheng DistrictWater District for example, from a rational point of view, use GIS technology to study thespatial data sloping site digitizing, the conduct of the slope, aspect, elevation, landscapevisibility, hydrological watershed analysis provide three-dimensional visualization charts. Inthis way, planning and design staff can understand more comprehensive about the land andexplore the city park sloping reasonably practicable landscape planning.Expected to provide a reference of taking the introduction of geographic informationsystems assistive technology in modern urban park landscape planning, and lead to moreresearch and discussion, so that the city park constructions can have more advancedtheoretical and technical support, as well as modern scientific techniques can be more widelyused in landscape study and planning process.
