The rapid development of China’s engineering construction has been running sincereform and opening up,the scale is getting bigger,and the theory and practice of constructionproject management has also been rapidly developed.Engineering project management relatesmany other aspects, including resource management which is very important to manage thecontent. Successful process control is critical to construction projects,and resources for theprogress and plays an important role,so the influence on the progress of the research resources,has very realistic significance.There are many theoretical approach on the resources impact to the progress of theproject now, the paper intends to use the system dynamics theory focusing on the dynamicnature.The SD model of schedule management was constructed to dynamically control theschedule objective for construction in progress. The model was also used to perform policysimulation to select the best strategy when the emergency situations were occurred in theimplementation process of the project,the main contents are as follows:(1)Probing the problems about project management in recent years and the necessityof system dynamics theory applied to project management,Summarizing the research ofapplication about system dynamics research progress focused on project management issuesin recent years;(2)finding relevant information and reference to similar cases, and going into thepractical projects for data collection,screening and classification factors by using the Delphimethod which are affecting the progress of the project;(3)establishing a computer simulation model through the system dynamics simulationsoftware of Vensim-PLE system language, the model consists of four subsystems, such asconstruction process subsystem, resource subsystem, subsystems and control objectivessubsystems productivity, mainly for human resources and the model is relevant inspection andcorrective;(4)Combined with the specific circumstances of the construction project to establish alinkage model resource and project schedule control, quality of the project, artificial fatigueand other factors included in the model,which cites three cases such as the normalcircumstance, the project implementation process lower quality and increase the scope ofwork with the use of overtime policy or without the use of overtime policy carried outsimulation.Results of this study on the dynamic control of the progress of the project provides a way.Make strategic simulation about the risk may arise in the implementation of engineering process.Provide decision-making basis for the project manager, the project effectively predictand manage to determine the optimal solution and to achieve active control for the project.
