The geographical national condition monitoring is a new field for the department ofsurveying、 mapping and geo-information.It is an extension and expansion work. Areformation of the surveying、mapping and geo-information has been carried out.This workisfrom static to dynamic, from passive to active. In this transformation process, the technologyand data of surveying and mapping are the important keys.In this paper,from the application of view,combined with pilot projects in Shaanxi andforeign similar projects.Some usedtechnologies and data sources was been researched, Finallyhigh-resolution remote sensing date and digital line graphic was be used try to extractinformation. The technologies are software to automatically interpret and informationextraction techniques. The result show us the remote sensing date and the data of surveyingand mapping is a good sources for geographical national condition monitoring, Software toautomatically interpret is a good technology to get the date.
