Study On The Flora Of Seed Plants And The Wild Resource Plants In Luqu County Of Gansu Province

Luqu is a county located at the juncture of Gansu Province, Sichuan Provinceand Qinghai Province, It is located in the edge of Qingzang Plateau. The seed plantflora of Luqu County was first analyzed as a whole object. Based on the great scaleinvestigation and a large amount of references, adopting the theories and methods ofthe related disciplines like Floristic Geography, Biodiversity Protection andUtilization, etc., this paper studied the flora in the Luqu, including the floristiccomposition, characteristics, floristic zoning and spatial distribution characteristic,flora of typical plant communities, protective plants and resources plants, and putforward measures for protection and sustainable development.The main achievementsare summarized as follows:1. The characteristics of the floristic compositionThere are727species of seed plants, belonged to251genera and64families inLuqu County. Including gymnosperms16species belonged to5genera and3familiesand angiosperms711species which are the monocotyledon plants122species,40genera and9families and the dicotyledonous plants589species belongings to206genera and52families. There have11dominant families and7typical familiar inLuqu seed plants flora. The flora features a clear temperate character. Themono-species or minor-species genera are comparatively rich. There are12mono-species and16minor-species genera of the flora in the Luqu County. The lifeforms of these genera are mostly herbage; the areal typesaremainly Temperate. Theflora has an ancient origin.2. There aren’t the families endemic to China in this region. It has5generasendemic to China. The species endemic to China are387in Luqu County, which haveexisted in Qingzang Plateau too. There are more species endemic to Luqu.3. The life forms are various, with life forms including arbor, shrubbery, herbage(including the annual, biennial and perennial) etc., and consisted of2.89％of arbor,9.35％of shrubbery,87.76％of herbage, the herbage play a dominant role.4. The flora of Luqu is found to be closely related to the flora of Xiqing Mountainsand is also related to the flora of Maxian and Lianhua Mountains.5. There are22species of rare and protect plants that consisit of level2protect. 6. The resource plants can be classified into21sub-types belonged to5types bytheir use. Under the influence of many factors, the living condition of plants is poor.The protection of plants is more important than the exploitation. We take a fewpractical measures for the protection and sustainable use of the plants in LuquCounty.
