The present dissertation mainly outlined the research history and present situation both in China and abroad, its morphology, material and methods, economic importance are introduced, planthopper fauna distribution of generic and specific taxa from China are presented. In the taxonomic part, 44 species of 17 genera are recognized, including 5 new species. Keys to all included taxa are given, photoes of existing species in dorsal view, lateral view, frons, post-tibial and the morphological configurations of male genitalia of some existing species and new species are illustrated. The application of ultrastructure of antennal sensilla in the taxonomy of the tribe is discussed. References and indexes of Chinese names and scientific names are provided.New taxa from China are listed as follow:New genera: Neoprocidelphax gen. nov., Anchia gen. nov..New species: Epeurysa divaricata sp. nov., Neobelocera nigronota sp. nov., Neobelocera hainanensis sp. nov., Neoprocidelphax hainanensis sp. nov., Anchia stenoprocessa sp. nov..The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Entomological Museum, Northwest A & F University, Yangling, Shaanxi, China (NWAFU).
