In the background of elementary education reform, the development of education in China has entered a new stage. The elementary education reform aims at improving the quality of education, in which teachers play a key role. So, the current focus of educational development in our country is to train a high-quality, high-level teaching profession. To implement free education of normal education is one of the most important measures. Since the policy of free education of normal students was carried out among 6 normal universities subordinate to Ministry of Education in 2007, it has attracted great attentions from all parts of the society. The strong support from the government, the great social concern and the urgent demand of elementary education reform has pushed teacher education to a new height. The reform of Normal teacher education course system, as the core problem of normal teacher education reform, has become a hotspot of educational research.The study makes teacher education course system in biology education professionals of Central China Normal University as the research object, focuses on "How to cultivate better free normal students and make them become excellent teachers and educators for new biology course reform." through the study. Based on the cultivate requirements of the new biology curriculum, it pay more attention on the practical problems of course reform and the reform of teaching methods, and give the in-depth study of the curriculum system and teaching method reform, and put forward some constructive suggestions on optimization of course system. This research will give the key value on a better understanding of the basic education curriculum reform and the biology normal teachers education curriculum reform.This paper analyzes the optimization of teacher education course system for free normal students majoring in biology under the background of new round basic education course reform. The paper is consisted of four parts:The first part is an introduction. Based on the analysis of investigation and theoretical research, it analyzes the background and importance of the research, put forward the issue and objects of the study, and defines the study related concepts.The second part mainly studies the course system of biology education of normal students, using the methods of information collection, theoretical research and comparative research. After selecting 4 colleges in America through the Internet, it comparatively analyses the course system of biology education of normal students in China and America, and generalize some inspections on the reform and optimization of course system in China.The third part proposed that the optimized strategy of biology teacher education course system under the background of new round basic education course reform according to the present situation research and the comparison research’s result.The forth part is the summary and experience. It summarizes the main conclusion and the existing problems, and points out some reflection and expectation. I hope to get some valuable views and advices for me by communication between experts, teachers and scholars in this field.
