Empirical Research On Pharmaceutical Industry' International Competition Capacity

There is a tremendously growth development in the Hi-Tech industry in China as well as other developed countries in the world. Biotechnology is one of the most critical industries among 8 Hi-Techs. So China should take turns to develop the Biotechnology industry in the future.There are also many kinds of researches on Hi-tech and Hi-tech international competition; however, the researches on a detailed Hi-tech industry are rare, pharmaceutical industry is an example. The foreign researches on pharmaceutical always focus on the pharmaceutical enterprises and pharmaceutical industry, not on the competition. So the paper tries to analysis on a new angle.Based on the background of the reality and theory, the first chapter introduces the content and the structure of this dissertation. There is a mature research on international competition in the world but the researches on pharmaceutical competition are limited; second, the present condition in China's pharmaceutical industry as well as foreign countries' is introduced. The related theories about pharmaceutical industry competition are rare as not many researchers focus on the project. The latest projects focus on the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical enterprises, not on the pharmaceutical industry competition capacity, so there is possibility of this dissertation. Next, the dissertation discusses the international competition degree, using a famous principle analyze factor model. The outcome is Chinese pharmaceutical industry's international competition is very low although there is a good development tendency in chemistry industry. In the next chapter, it also analyzes the international competition condition by theory model. Finally, the dissertation proposes several policies on how to strength the international competition of China's pharmaceutical industry, mainly including increasing the input of R&D and pushing the adventure capital in Chinese pharmaceutical industry.
