Research On The Development Of Sports Tourism

Since 1990s, there has been a new trend that more and more people esteem for sound mind and body. So, sports and tourism are combined. In China, sports tourism is facing with opportunities and challenges. Discoursing learnedly on sports tourism by added the contents of sports to tourism in order to get an effect that 1 + l>2,is practical and operation in significance.Absorbing widely local and abroad research achievement on Sports Tourism, this thesis attempts to discover and study sports tourism, study the developmental models of Chongqing Sports Tourism and give suggestions based on the developing analysis of Chongqing Sports Tourism in four parts.Part One introduces the study background of sports tourism, the correlation and combining mechanism between sports and tourism , then defines sports tourism.Part Two studies the development characteristics and front of world and Chinese sports tourism, expands the characteristics of sports tourism and explains its classifications scheme.Part Three explores the development theory of sports tourism and correlation basic analysis. It puts forward development goals, policies, principles and models about sports tourism.Part Four addresses key issues in this essay. It presents a case study of Chongqing. This part analyzes advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of Chongqing sports tourism development by using development theory of sports tourism. Finally, it explains four development models in different regions and raises development countermeasures according to development policies and principles of sports tourism.
