A Study On The Spatial Structure And Forming Mechanism Of Planning Overall Cities And Countrysides In Jiangsu Province

The relationship of city and countryside is a focus for regional research for a long time. But most of these research are only limited in theoretical study. City and countryside is a complicated social and economic regional system. They consist of two sub-system of region by the interrelation and interaction of every element. This paper takes Jiangsu province as a research object. Based on the summary and analysis of their developmental history and present situation, this paper scientifically evaluates the developmental degree and spatial structure of this regional relationship in Jiangsu province by the qualitative and quantitative research methods. The result truly reflects the developmental level and spatial structure of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province. Resting on this result, this paper then analyses the forming mechanism and puts forward some adjusting strategies on the cities and countrysides' development of Jiangsu province, which provides the theoretical and practical evidence for the harmony development of planning overall cities and countries in Jiangsu province.The paper is mainly divided into five parts:Part â…  Introduction. Beginning with the developmental actuality and background of cities and countrysides in China, this paper discloses that it is necessary and important to plan overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province. Then, the paper interprets the meaning of planning overall city and countryside concisely. It discloses that this theory is a rational choice after four developmental phases. At last, the systemic frame info of this paper is generalized.Part â…¡ The basal analyse of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province.. From the analyse of the history and the current condition of the relationship between cities and countries in Jiangsu province, the relationship is moving towards the connection , merging and integration after experiencing separation and opposition.In city and countryside areas opposite dual-structure is being broken, economic production factors and population have formed in some areas with relatively high level. But it still exists a gap between cities and countries' development. After China's reform and open-door, this gap gradually tends to be widened. At last, the character and problem of cities and countries' development in Jiangsu province is generalized and considered as the base of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province.Part â…¢ The spatial structure of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province. On the one hand, the paper calculates 13 regional or municipal developmental degree of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province, and educes the spatial distributing structure by spss7.0'clustering measure. The conclusion is drawn that the spatial disparity of this developmental level is bigger and shows diminishing from southern zonal area to northern zonal area. The author analyses this distributing lies on economy and its development presents "U"mode. On the other hand, under the consistent index of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province and with the comparison of its spatial structure in recent 10 years, the spatial structure of planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province changes from transmeridional belt to longitudinal belt. Certainly, the government's policy, the large city's influence, the countryside's economic development, the foreign capital's impact and etc. are all the influencing factors. But social institution determines them all.Part V The strategies to planning overall cities and countrysides in Jiangsu province. In order to optimize this spatial structure of Jiangsu province and compare with some others province's action, some suggestions are put forward in starting institutional innovation; strengthening infrastructure construction; organizing industry development and etc.
