The university discipline covering extensive fields, in its activities and so on teaching, scientific research, administration has produced the massive grey literatures. These literature materials are more effectiveness and reliable, and containing the value of information which the conventional literature is unable to substitute. Carries on the digitized construction to the university grey literature, not only enrich library collection characteristic and atonement convention literature insufficiency, but also help the university library to improve the utilization of grey literature and the level of academic service, thus speeding up the informationization construction.At present, our country University Library grey literature has the low utilization factor and the digitized construction of grey literature was also uneven, it has not formed the unified digitized method and description metadata standard. In view of this, this article from angles with the digital objects choice of University grey literature, digital methods and as well as description metadata scheme designs, combined with other problems in the digitization construction process of University grey literature, carries on the analysis and the research to the digitization construction of University grey literature. This study aims to promote the digitized method and description metadata standard of University grey literature have forming the unified form, make the true meaning of the grey literature of digital resource sharing, and give full play to its own great intelligence.This paper firstly introduces the background of relevant thesis research and study abroad, summarizes the grey literature on the basis of research achievements, formed the research methods and the frame. Based on the concept of grey literature in colleges and universities, summarizes its characteristics, types, and points out that university grey literature digitization significance; This illustrates the grey literature digitization object choice must have evidence when choosing and some problems that should be paid attention to, from the digital processing of digital production and work, and the management of the grey literature digitization and three main introduces digitizing process; This paper analyzes the influence of the selection method of the grey literature digitization, and from the text, the graph, the image, the audio frequency, the video frequency and so on five aspects have carried on the elaboration to the different form's grey literature digitization method; Finally, this paper analyzed and related standards, domestic and foreign digital reference to the grey literature resource description metadata standard scheme design further discussion.
