Network-based Education is a new kind of educational pattern which is developing with the development of information society. It is also a new hotspot that global academic circles pay close attention. It's effective method for education return to teach according to the student's ability. With the developing of multimedia information technology, computer technology and network technology, Network-based Education receive well technique support and application environment. Now, Network-based Education has been developed to 4th generation which with the help of computer terminal and network (include LAN, Campus LAN and Internet), supply education Service to students by synchronous or asynchronous model. However, advanced technology is not enough for success of Network-based Education. It need us make deep research and understanding to teachers'and students'requirement, and choose right technology base on this. Focus on different education pattern and target; adjust the design on time, space, study speed and interaction. Strengthen the usability of professional knowledge and the other education resources. So the main research details include education theory, method and tactics of Network-based Education; courseware for Network-based Education; synchronous or asynchronous model alternately activity and multimedia communication.But there are many problems need to be resolved. For example transport of files, data safety, individuation system and maintain system by administrator and so on. Each kind of Network-based Education System must face to and resolve these problems. This paper focus on the Network-based Education to assist tradition education in elementary and secondary school. Combine tradition education with Network-based Education in order to improve the quality of teach and study. At first, this paper discourse the history and technique characteristic in different period. Analyze major problem exist in main Network-based Education, and propose the solution of this system.This Network-based Education System uses IIS+SQL Server 2005+Web Service technology and Windows Server 2003 as operate system of server, IIS6.0 as Web serve, SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition as DBMS, C# program language as develop language. This paper introduce some technology that used by Network-based Education System. Base on this, we put out the technology assemble that used in the system.System total design is one of the most important parts in this paper. In this part, we introduce the background of this project, and explain the total objective of this system. Illustrate detail requirements on highly active, easy of use, practicality, open, open-ended and safety. And then, we discuss on the construct of study system from high abstract lay. By means of these analysis, we made decision on compose of system and type of network architecture. Meanwhile, we introduce iterative develop flow and compare it with waterfall develop flow.Design of database has deep effect on function, expandability and safety of system, because it's an important tool for data store and manage. Bad designs always lead to huge data redundancy that impropriate much memory space in server, disaccord data, bad expandability, hard to resume data from system error. So this chapter discourse our choice of DBMS, plan of database design and security policy. Introduce main function and technology norm of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition that base on Windows Server. Then we introduce three important databases: school base database, assignment database and teach profession database. At last of this chapter, we discuss the processed of data back-up, and compare it with totally back-up and increment back-up.In the chapter of detail design, we introduce three representative modules include teach profession module, teach manage module and system manage module. We give design of module detail drawing and flow chart, and brief meaning and action of each function.Directed towards the feature of design, program, test, accept in iterative develop flow, test chapter introduce some major test plan such as pressure test, resume test and accept test.We also found some defects and problems that should be changed and completed when researching and developing. First, although we did some optimize on system architecture and data storage, they need more research and improve. Second, the speed of data process and performance of network concurrency access need to be optimized. Meanwhile, safety of network need further improve on design and performance.In a word, the design of Network-base Education System means deep significance on Network-base Education. The system would be a useful attempt for linking Network-base Education with tradition education. Through trial run, the system achieves our expectations, and be in motion well.
