With the rapid development of information technology and the advancement of information technology, an increasing number of information management systems based on workflow have been widely used in enterprises, governments and other organizations. The workflow technology and the permission management technology involved have been the constant focus of researchers. With the development of informatization, information management systems become increasingly complex, and are required to satisfy the demands of applications and guarantee the security of function permission and data resources. Workflow-based access control model is essential for process access control, which requires better fine-grained security models to be adopted in the workflow system. Such security model uses the access control model technology, the most typical security technology. In recent years, there have been extensive research on access control technology in the workflow system. Two access control models, to some extent, solve the problem of role authorization control and task assignment: the role-based control access model; the role-and-task-based control access model. However, with the increasingly complex system, despite that these two models allow the permission to the access control at the task level, they do not address the access control problem of dynamic data.To address problems above, this thesis proposes an advanced model on the basis of the role-and-task-based access control one: the dynamic variable process distribution algorithm access control model, based on role_task_beacon, which implements the workflow variable process. It also solves the problem of the dynamic data control during the process and the process transmission. In addition, in terms of the permission management technology in the existing information management system, this paper analyzes the role based access control(RBAC) permission model and proposes an improved model based on it, with the fact that the current model, which uses functional level permission to restrict the access to data resources, cannot meet the current needs of actual demand. Accordingly, this paper has made improvements on the role based access control(RBAC) permission model and proposed an improved one – a fine-grained model based on role based access control(RBAC) data permission. The new model has improved security by permitting access control at the data permission level, so that data resources can be controlled with the least constraint.Based on the above study of the workflow access control model and the permission management, this paper focuses on the development of a workflow-based digital archive management system on the basis of a practical project, the archive management at A Research Institute. In this project, traditional archive management has been transformed into a digital management mode. In addition, the improved permission management system ensures the security of the system and becomes more convenient to use; the introduction of the workflow technology makes the file management processes more standardized. Meanwhile, the process-and-task-driven approach boosts the efficiency. The application of the new access control technology model enables the access control of the process transmission in the workflow to be managed in a fine-grained way, making the process operation more safe and efficient.
