With the development of computer and network technology, computer network and internet have promoted the teaching and science research in colleges in China, Campus Network has entered a fast speed developing period and it has become the most important basic facility in colleges'education and science research. China has invested the construction of Chinese Education & Science Research Institute Computer Network which was named Cernet in short in 1994, many colleges started to build and update the campus network to keep it be advanced and stable in order to serve the students and teachers, so it is worth to explore and research the theory and practice in college campus network construction.The background of the paper is the"engineering of Campus Network construction and Updating Situation in Yunnan Broadcasting & TV University", First analysis of the Yunnan Broadcasting & TV University Campus Network(short for YNTVUCNET) programs exist for less than the preliminary design and network running, management difficulties, through the campus network construction on the current depth study of key technologies, and from YNTVUCNET current practical applications and concrete operations analysis, using the system project ideas, on the campus of Yunnan Radio & Television Network two-step building for the overall planning system, which made the overall design and YNTVUCNET two-step implementation procedures.Identified by our school campus Gigabit Ethernet backbone, three-tiered architecture, dual-link exports divided by VLAN virtual LAN technology and distribution of IP addresses, using DHCP dynamically assigned IP and other design programs, through the project construction switch configuration, DHCP server, firewall and audit gateway deployment configuration to achieve the project design.College Campus Construction is a complicated systematic engineering which overlaps knowledge of different subjects.The paper would learn the experiences of other colleges'campus network building, combining with the YNTVUCNET design, arrangement and practical work to make a deeper research on campus network construction, and hope it would be helpful on the further building of the college network buildings.
