The ARINC429 bus is widely used in airplane technology, whereas the USB bus, serial communication bus are widely used in universal test equipment. When the universal test equipment is applied to avionics testing, the transform between ARINC429 bus and USB bus and between ARINC429 bus and serial communication bus is needed.In order to achieve the transformation, one ARINC429 bus transceiver system based on DSP is designed in this thesis.The hardware design of ARINC429 bus transceiver system in this thesis includes the minimum system based on DSP, the level switching circuit, the data transceiver circuit, the USB interface circuit, the serial communication interface circuit and the interface circuit between DSP and CPLD.In the design, TMS320F2812 from TI is used in DSP minimum system, HS-3182 and HS-3282 chips special for ARINC429 data are used in data sending and receiving circuit.The PC program, DSP program and CPLD timing logic are designed in the system. PC program shows the operation interface which is used to send and receive data. DSP program includes system initiation, data sending and receiving program etc. CPLD timing logic is used to achieve logic control between interfaces.Each model of the system is tested. The interface between DSP and CPLD, driver circuit, USB interface and serial communication interface are tested respectively. After this, the functions of sending ARINC429 data, setting control word and receiving ARINC429 data are also tested. The test results show that the ARINC429 bus transceiver system can achieve the transform between ARINC429 bus and USB bus and between ARINC429 bus and serial communication bus. The sending rate, data length and checkout mode can be set in the system.This system features simple operation and good expansibility. It will see its wide application in the area of future avionics systems testing.
